Strongly disagree, it works FOR SOME. I gave the 12 steps an honest try, 90 in 90, 2 different sponsors. I just began to feel more and more uncomfortable. When I expressed discomfort, I was constantly told that it was my fault, not the programs. Major red flags there, no "program" is infallible. That is some very dangerous talk IMO. It seems that many people in the 12 steps have the whole concept of their recovery reliant on AA. It was written by a a bunch of southern good ol boys. They have a very different perspective from a person like myself. I am a progressive who was born and raised in the Northern Midwest.
As for the orange-papers, the info is like any other source. Something that should be taken with a grain of salt. The author is sharing his experience. Why is his less valid then that of the steppers?
