"I truly expected at this point to be talking to a young man who realized how much of his life was messed up because of drugs, pumped up on sobriety, not to be speaking to someone who is angry ,his words are slurred."

Are you talking to his counselors about this stuff? You have to drop all expectations and you have to let the professionals do the work. Change doesn’t happen overnight. They told me they thought I might be bi-polar in treatment, but turns out I was in withdrawal. However, it is very possible that he might indeed be bi-polar as these issues start to manifest them around 20-22.

While I am a firm believer in Suboxone and received it at my treatment center (they started me on way to high off a dose but that is a whole different story)… all I can do is tell you to let the process play out. He can always get on Suboxone once he is out (with a doctor, not off the street).
