I told my story of addiction…7 years plus of being on suboxone, xanax, clonopens, and alcohol. I went to detox and rehab and Saturday will be 7 weeks clean. Every day gets better and better. My energy is going up and my sleep is a bit more now. I can’t explain the withdrawals i was going threw pretty nuts. I no that me getting rushed to hospital for being delusional, hullusinations and delirium was from the alcohol and benzo withdrawals. The suboxone withdrawals a friend and i were having was the crazy pain in the legs and body. My legs would lock up on me where i actually fall at times. The shacking is going and the sweats are gone. I really begged God to take me in the 5 days in the hospital. I had uncontrollable muscle contractions. Losing 27 pounds in 3 weeks was not fun, and not sleeping was not fun at all even on trazadone for sleep. I don’t understand why the Doc is recommending for people to stay on suboxone. I could understand it you choose to do so in certain circumstance but i srongly disagree that all people need to be on it. I have no desire for that stuff or any of the 4 drugs i was taking, or painkillers which go me on subox in the first place. I would agree that a person should go on suboxone and maybe stay on it if that person doesn’t want to go through a rehab to find the deeper issues behind their addictioon and underlying problems(or therapist) or if they are endangering there life with heroin use. I disagree a person getting off painkillers needs to be on it long term. But i guess everyone is different. I believe by the Doctor with all do respect telling people to stay on it, or pushing the product, is giving people dealing with denial something to cling on to to prolong the inevatable. LIsten I’m Italian and if guys i kno,w real deal guys, found out i went to rehab they would never look at me the same, but you know what im finially really happy i did it. Sometimes things happen for a reason. I say to those that are on suboxone long term to really weigh the pros and cons, and find out from family members, friends if its affecting your life at all. I wouldn’t take clonopens ,xanaz or alcohol during the day, but i now see it had a big in pact on my life and judgement. Its so much different being on a clear head, what a great feeling. That basically the best part about being off suboxone is the clear thinking. You should see the difference in you thinking on a clear head. Its really crazy how different and better you head will be on.(by the way i was only taking 4 2mg subox a day)(o and i was taking 3 2mg clones,3 2mg xanax a day) Well thats my own opionion about suboxone, im not going to change my mind. Im still very mad at my doc for keeping me on it for so long and giving me another problem with clonopens, but what r u going to do… I think that quitting everything by going to a detox is hell, and i mean hell, but its worth it. I believe that the next best thing is tapering slowly. Good luck to everyone thats on it and i say conradulations to those who want off it and to the people who are trying.
