Thank you kindly for the warm welcome! I am very excited to be part of this forum and find myself glued to the vast amounts of shared knowledge in here. I am feeling soooo much better!
32 hours deep into my self-induced opiate-abstinence and failing miserably at sleep, I finally made it to my Dr.’s office for my first dose of sub this morning at 7:45 am.
Shortly after entering and seating myself in the waiting room, Dr. came out and asked, "How are you feeling?"
I stared at him blankly thinking, "Are you fucking kidding me?! "Eh…", I said blankly.
**keep in mind its been 32 hours since my last morphine/norco cocktail!**
He took me back and asked me a bunch of questions, checked my blood pressure, etc. Then he reached for his drawer. As he began to open this particular drawer, a blinding, thick beam of light exploded out of it, increasing in brightness as he stretched it further. Nah, I’m just fuckin with you. He pulled out a sub and began to tell me wonderful things about it. One thing in particular that really stuck with me was how he told me I was going to remember what life was like. Next, he explains how to take the sub (which I already learned from the amazing people in this forum!) and finally hands me an 8mg/2mg, hexagonal tab. I put the tab in my mouth, crushed it up quickly, and used the little bit of saliva in my mouth to make a paste and "paint" the cheeks, tongue, and the frenulum (thin tissue under the tongue that connects it to the bottom of the mouth). I let this "pasty paint" set for 10 minutes and tried to swallow any saliva. At the end of the 10 minutes, I swished the accumulated mixture in my mouth for about 120 seconds like it was mouth wash. 10 minutes later the Dr. came out and told me to go for a walk for 20 minutes and then come back inside. As soon as I stepped out into the morning California sun, this amazing drug hit me. All I can say is WOW! I literally felt normal. It actually eliminates withdrawal symptoms and cravings and was even able to go straight to work. I am to take these tabs twice a day for 1 week and then come back in for potential dose reduction. I went the entire day without any cravings. The only reason I even took the second one at 7pm was because of direction from the Dr.
