Like Rule62 said if you have an appointment then you should be in. We as addicts want to think our disease is so debilitating that it actually handicaps us so bad it can reach out and affect anything that may be a positive experience. And that is what you are doing. Your addict brain wants to ruin the chances, the excitement and the serenity in the case that it’s all about over. Atkeasr the chasing the dragon daily for our drugs and finding the money, hoping nothing stands in our way of our fix etc… Is that a typo or is it true you use 60 to 100 mgs daily??? If so, you are fortunate and will have options either get a lose dose and taper off suboxone if thats what you want. And…of course you may want to stay on quite a while to avoid relapses. I have been told at least in methadone the longer I stay in the better the statistics of me staying sober when I do come off. I myself did that much at a time ten times a day. (not gloating) I am on done and even at 190 mgs I still have traces of withdrawals. I kept trying to keep my dose as low as I could but it never quiets my withdrawals so I have had to increase a bit over the two years. I looked into suboxone but the receptionist told me suboxone might not hold me when I gave her my daily use. I should have looked further into it as I have talked to sub patients that did the same or more than me. I was panicked and just that little bit of doubt that receptionist gave me was all it took for me to decide methadone. Plus having to be in withdrawals to get treated scared me too and then the thought they may not medicate me or treat me. Our minds really compromise our thought process when added fear to our thinking. Huh?

Good Luck want to hear how it went and know that we all are here. I am new on this site but I am really enjoying the support etc… Keep coming back and get to know us ad we get to know you in turn.
