Hi free bird and valleygirl. I’m glad you are both doing well with your pregnancies, and with your efforts to taper off (or be off) of Suboxone. It sounds like you both found a way to go off that works for you, which has resulted in as little stress and discomfort as possible.
Just out of curiosity I checked that thread from "Robert" on drugs.com. I guess it’s the mother hen in me that just wants to warn you to be cautious. Several red flags came up for me, especially in that he has no medical training but helps pregnant women "for the glory of God who delights in His little children". Some of his info is incorrect, for example at doses below 1mg Sub doesn’t have a 37 hour half life as he states. Also grinding up Subutex and cutting it into "lines" and keeping it on a mirror is not good advice for recovering addicts. I think what concerned me the most was that instead of just spelling out his tapering plan, he gives the first step and then says , "you and I have to be in contact every day". I’m just saying be careful, and there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum that can help you calculate the lower doses, etc.
Please continue to keep us posted on how you are doing. Good luck,
Lilly
