Wow. You really should find a new doc. That is ridiculous. My first shoulder surgery I was on Norco’s for 4 months. I stopped after PT was finished. Had a night of Wd’s but you can’t get off opiates without going through some pain. This go round They removed most of my cartlidge and have been on Norco’s for three years. I stopped at 10 per day and I was on 8 mg for the first couple days then tapered down fast. For the equivalent of 1 Norco, I can’t believe he prescribed any sub. AS Sweet said you need to find a dose (as low as possible) that you are comfortable on then once you have stabilized, drop 10% and repeat and you will be off in no time!
