| Hello, I am new to this forum and am mainly here to find out everything i can about suboxone, i just had my 3rd back surgery a month and half ago, so as you can tell i am a chronic pain patient who is so ready to get off all these pain meds I have been on for the past 3 years! <snip>
I cant beleive the first Dr did that to me, it was so obvious that the cage was misplaced. So anyways to make a very long story shorter I am a month and half out of surgery and i feel so much better, except that i am scared to death to detox and start suboxone, because not only am i now adddicted to all these pills but It has also became a habit so im juust scared, Thanks for listening. Hello, Sarahbear, and welcome to this wonderful forum!
I am so sorry to hear what that first Dr. did to your back, by misplacing that cage;
I can just imagine how extremely painful that that must have been.
I also have had one back surgery- for a herniated L5 disk- about 12 years ago;
but I STILL have mild-to-moderate chronic pain from my lower back-
especially when walking. I do believe that the Suboxone DOES help with my pain;
but I am actually on it for addiction- at 4 mg per day.
Anyway, I am glad that you feel better now. However, I CAN understand your fear of detoxing from all of those pills.
But once you get over your initial detox experience, I believe that it will be worth it to get on Subs.
There are some people on here who are on Subs for chronic pain; and I am sure that they will chime in.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have- especially regarding Subs;
and please keep us posted.
Good luck,
