For sure … Things were really crazy for me up there. I was doing NA prior to relapsing, and believed that because I’d used, I was destined for jails institutions or death and I had no say in the matter. And I nearly let that happen. Thankfully came to my senses before that happened.
It was an industrial town I guess – a port / mining town with a lot of social problems. Maybe 500,000 people? Not a metropolis by any means. Someone must have just dropped them from their pocket. Poor guy must have been fretting bad. You can’t exactly go back to the pharmacy and plead your case when that happens.
The city I live in now is a lot bigger – 4.2 million people, so there’s a more abundant supply of class A’s. I’ve found that people seem to abuse pills more in areas where there isn’t as much heroin. On the flip side, there’s more services to help with recovery in larger cities.
