Welcome Doc,
Some people learn to get out and stop the cycle and other choose to keep it going. It is hard to live a life you know nothing about (sober).We have either lots of compassion or lots of anger towards the people that F’d up our childhood. Funny though as much as I’ve always said I would never be like her, I am in some many ways.
Good that you choose not only to stop the cycle But to help the ones that didn’t
