Hi anxious,
I am so sorry to hear about your family situation. I am going to start keeping a prayer list of all the people on this site that I feel led to pray for. My heart just really goes out to everyone who has to go through issues related to addiction. I guess because I know what it is like, and I feel so blessed to have my situation be working out so well right now. It could totally have gone just the way yours has…in fact that was what I was scared of the most, my husband not understanding or just letting things bother him and it winding up causing real problems down the road. Of course it still could happen but I am praying it doesn’t. As for your 13 year old son not wanting to be in the room with you, I can totally understand how terrible that feels. I think boys of that age just have a little bit of attitude anyway, don’t let it get you down too much. I’m sure with time he will come around…just remember he is your son and he loves you whether he acts like it or not. Nothing can sever that bond.
