According to the Encyclopedia Britannica:

"The term irony has its roots in the Greek comic character Eiron, a clever underdog who by his wit repeatedly triumphs over the boastful character Alazon. The Socratic irony of the Platonic dialogues derives from this comic origin."

I’m no underdog, but I’m gonna go ahead and say my wit has triumphed over other more immature ways at jabbing me. I see verbal defense as an art that can be approved and polished. My Shakespearean rant actually is very cohesive and addresses all of Romeo’s points. Maybe you didn’t understand it or just think I’m crazy to make an effort to reply in an non attacking yet creative way. And it seems goofy, but that response when understood correctly is really me just stating how wrong Romeo’s comment was bc of ignorance to my previous post. Want me to make one for you? Because I’m sober and I can still bust out a piece of writing on 5 hours sleep.

And Ironically William Shakespeare was one of the first writers to heavily employ all different kinds of irony, especially subtly dramatic irony. My comical post you are referring too is composed of most all exact Romeo and Juliet quotes. If my passion to out smart or defend myself against someone through a creative composition communication like I did to Romeo, then you must think you can only be creative if one is under the influence. I’ve stopped taking the poison potion, so no ironic death for me unlike our sad friends Romeo and Juliet. This forum is One House, let us please leave out any claims about your disbelief in a clever piece I wrote indicating I’m not sober. This is actually ironic bc I’m sure everyone would agree my creativity would grow now that I’m sober. Thanks for your support and belief in me. That was sarcasm:

(Sarcasm is “a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt.â€?[1] Though irony and understatement is usually the immediate context,[2] most authorities sharply distinguish sarcasm from irony;[3] however, others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony)…wow I must be wasted
