Hi! I have had the rapid detox done.. Although I had it done in 2006 due to my addiction to any and all opiates. Also I lived in Michigan so it was done there. I relapsed after the 3months (they put a naloxone implant in me) and that was the soonest I could use unless I cut out the implant. It sure worked for withdrawals and there are some slight wds u still feel. They give you sleeping meds, Valium to take for a few days. Then they give you (back then) a pill for energy.. For the few days when you should be w/out energy. I’m not quite sure if it’s the same as it was back then. If you decide to do this, I would make sure you get the therapy you need, (not just the subs), for tools to use when you feel like using. I’m sure it will def help with the wds, but the ultimate goal is to be addiction free. I finally found solace and went to inpatient rehab in 2008 and have been on sub ever since. It’s what I need to stay addiction free. I basically paid $9000 to go back to using because I didn’t have the tools to stay sober. That is key!! I have no problem now being on the subs for as long as I have due to the fact, I am not in active addiction. i may be dependent on the subs, but I am still learning the tools to use when I eventually complete my taper and become medicine free. If you have any questions about any part of the procedure I def will answer what I can. So all my advice to you now is make sure you have the tools, after detox. I sound like a broken record player. I apologize I am on my iPhone so if I have misspelled or was all over the place it’s such a small screen and haven’t looked back : ). Lol.
