Hey there –
Thanks for the update! I’m glad the sub is working well so far, even though you’ve yet to stabilize. There’s a pretty big difference, dosage-wise, between 6 mg and 10 mg, so I’m not surprised that the 6 mg didn’t quite hold you. You might want to try 8 mg instead and see how you do in between those two doses. See, no matter how you feel, if you stick with the same dose, you WILL stabilize within a few days (per Dr. Junig). And it’s my opinion that since you seem to need more at 6 mg and simply don’t feel well at 10 that 8 just might be what you need. And then stay at that dose – unless you feel absolutely horrible – and stay at that dose for a few days and see how you feel then. See, suboxone has a very long half life – on average 37 hours.
I hope this helps. Keep us updated on how you’re feeling. I hope suboxone turns out to be a great treatment for you! ![]()
