I’m so sorry this happened to you. What do you mean you got terminated due to making too many appointments? Weren’t you just making appointments as the doctor had you come in? Or was there an issue with you running out and asking to come in early? (I’m just trying to ascertain what happened.)
Ok, have you tried all of the doctor locators online? (Samhsa.gov, naabt.org, suboxone.com, and suboxone-directory.com). Also, you can check in our forum under the doctor section ("Taking new patients") to see if anyone posted anything about NY doctors (just in case).
Also,you can go to an Emergency Room/Dept and they are allowed to give you 3 days worth of suboxone, without having the DATA 2000 waiver. I know it’s only 3 days worth, but it’s worth a try.
You can also try cold-calling psychiatrists in your area and just asking them if they prescribe suboxone. I know, it will be time-consuming, but many shrinks do prescribe it but don’t advertise it.
Finally, if you have to go out seeking something, please consider getting suboxone instead of full agonist opiates…Hang in there. Let us know how you are doing.
