isn’t it funny how when we were drinking and drugging we ALWAYS lived day by day: like going to bed knowing that I had drugs left over for tomorrow or money to buy more drugs always felt good. Or spending your last money on a bag and shooting it all THAT day because heck "ill deal with tomorrow when tomorrow comes, I guess I gotta come up with a new scheme to get money for a fix tomorrow"
IRONIC because NOW in recovery, when it is actually beneficial to live in the day, one day at a time, just for today we find it difficult to do so. Oh, us addicts such strange people.
