Hi Ekoconnor and welcome,

I’ve never had a child on sub, but I’ve done lots of research and learned a lot about sub, addiction, and pregnancy over the past 2 1/2 years. In my utterly non-medical opinion, subutex shouldn’t have any effect on your ability to feel your contractions. Yes, suboxone and subutex do have some pain properties, but not to the point where you wouldn’t feel the contractions. You can read many many stories here of women giving birth to healthy babies while on sub without having any complications whatsoever.

I’m sure other moms will see this and post their response as well. Maybe even Dr. Junig will weigh in, too.

Oh and lastly, congratulations on your impending bundle of joy!
