Hi guys,
I’ve been on subs for 15 months now, starting at 24 mg and quickly moving to 16 mg/day. Over the past 8 months, I have been slowly moving down my dose, with the help of my doctor, and I’m not on 8 mg films. I posted the other day about lowering that even more, but now I’m not so sure if that’s the right thing to do.

On 8 mgs, I was sweating so badly that I was constantly uncomfortable & embarrassed. I started researching sweating on the net to look for solutions. My sweating is worse on my face. Everyone can see it, and I hate it so much.

Then, I had an idea. I upped my dose to 16 mg. I’ve been doing this for 4 days now, and the sweating is better! I was thinking that it had gotten worse, which didn’t make sense because I had moved from FLORIDA to PA, so even though it was summer this problem first started back in March when it was cooler in PA than it was in FL. And that’s when I first started dropping below 16, to my first taper dose of 12.

What do you guys think? Is it possible the sweating would be worse on the 8 mg than on the 16? Also, when I take more than 8 mgs, I always split the dose. My doctor knows this and has no problem with it. I just take it twice a day. So maybe I could try 8 mg, split into 4 mg/twice a day and see if that kept the sweating down.

Or, maybe this is just a fluke and it has nothing to do with the dose increase? I really want to be on 4 mg because I pay out of pocket, and it’s a LOT of money to pay for 16 mg/day. But I will do it if it works to control the sweating.

Thoughts?
