First, I would like to wish everyone here on the forum a very Happy New Year and hope your Christmas went well!
My second trip to the hospital was like night and day. They had two anesth. and two doctors in the room (kinda scared me)lol, and I ask the lady what she was going to give me to put me out and she said "that Michael Jackson drug, honey…you won’t know what hit ya" and was she ever right. The best news is there is no cancer after all my years of too much smoking. I am so grateful for that.
Now I HAVE TO QUIT SMOKING, PERIOD., if I want to live much longer and you would think the scare itself would be enough , but addict that I am I seem to want more cigs. I am going to call my doctor and try Chantix…have any of you ever tried that?
The strangest thing, however is after a PULMONARY Specialist looked into my lungs with a scope, he sent me home with nothing. I was still sick and that night I had a spell to beat all spells…the shakes temp104 acute pain in my lungs and chest and had to go to the er where they did a simple chest xray and diagnosed me with double pneumonia! I stayed in the hospital for 5 days! (This was by my regular doctor)
Funny thing though, I am not mad at anyone anymore I am just grateful to be alive. This stuff can kill ya and especially at my age. Thank you guys for listening and I am just glad to be back amoung the land of the living.
