My doctor actually isn’t too bad. He is a phsyciatrisy/addiction specialist and does not accept insurance for any services, not just addiction related. He is a small, private practice with just him and one office girl. He doesn’t have the man power to deal with all the insurance companies and wants to keep his cost down. After every appointment they provide you with everything you need to submit it to your insurance for reimbursement. They call it a super bill and if the insurance gives you a hard time, he will help you out. I do agree with everything you said though, especially drs that will take insurance for everything but sub, that is just ridiculous and another reason to end the patient cap. Then sub patients wouldn’t be forced to see the greedy drs.
