Soooooooooo!

Just in case y’all forgot, or never knew, or never cared, or whatever; I thought I’d put a little notice up here that I’m rolling up on TWO MOTHERLOVING YEARS OFF SUBOXONE

So! Let’s have a party up in here! I say we need one. We talk about a LOT of serious stuff and we bond over the difficulties that we face as recovering addicts – but we deserve to celebrate our successes and to take time to feel good about the progress that we’ve made.

I’m declaring (in my best Zelda Rubenstein voice) "This space has been "cleansed,"" and I’m dedicating it to all our wonderful, inspiring people, places and things. The stuff, little and big, that keeps me…and you and you and you…coming back and working hard at this thing we call life. The places you go to feel ok again, the people we talk to, the animals we snuggle, the mountains we climb, poems written, books read, gardens cultivated, meals cooked, goals set, yoga posed, whatever it might be…you know what I’m sayin.

I will try to get the party started with some pictures, videos, quotes, whatever I can find, but I sincerely hope that ALL of you will participate in building something here that we can ALL look back on when we need to find the spirit and the strength to keep moving forward.

YOU HOO PEOPLE OF THE SUBOXONE TALK ZONE FORUM! Yes, you, ALL of you…I’m talking to you. I want your imput here because without this internet message board, which has become a community, and without all of you – I don’t know where I would be today. I read your words and I learn, and I am humbled, and I grow. I am sorry that I am not wealthy enough to make this party happen in physical space, but I think we can make it awesome here in computer space (ugh, just couldn’t bring myself to say "cyber space" gak).

So drop in and just say hi, or ask a question, or post a quote you love, or a photo of something that helps you hang on. Tell a story of a success you’ve had, share pix of your pet or vacation or anything. Post something that makes you laugh, or helps you connect to your feelings in some way, like a song that got you through a hard time. If you have other ways of sharing what you love to do, what makes you feel whole, do that. Go crazy!

I love you guys (mostly) and I’m looking forward to celebrating my 2 year anniversary here in this thread. Hopefully it will be a good time for everyone Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
