| Hi,
Another piano player here. Welcome. Wow. I’m just guessing, but this does not sound like opiate withdrawal. You took opiates for 10 years – that can cover up existing medical issues. If I were you, and I’m not so take this for what it’s worth, I would get a complete physical done from head to toe. The symptoms you describe fit many chronic ailments, both physical and mental. And it doesn’t surprise me that taking vics again makes you feel better for a while. Opiates can make any problem go away. Good luck to you, hope you find an answer. Jimmy |
That’s so true. There’s even a theory being bandied about recovery circles that it’s only people with some kind of pre-existing emotional / physical pain who feel relief from drugs of addiction, as they’re the only ones who have pain to kill. It explains why there’s such a link between physical pain / mental illness / trauma etc and addiction. Some people call it being born "a pill less than normal", as it was only after they took drugs that they felt human.
