Ugh, I hate going and getting my prescription and it just got worse!

I was going to Rite-Aid, which is across the street from the CVS I have to go to now. Long story short, CVS’ pharmacy is better/more popular and they finally ran Rite-Aid’s pharmacy into the ground and bought their medication. Other than the normal complaints at Rite-Aid, it wasn’t the most unpleasant experience getting my suboxone filled there. They were generally nice and professional, even if the occasional frown slipped through when they read my script. They never made me feel like a loser, which was nice. They did continuously forget to order subs to the store so they had them there for me each month, so I would always be sent home with 4 or 5 days worth while they waited for the next shipment. That got old fast but what can ya do?

Anyway, skip to last week when I had to go to the CVS (where the rest of my family goes to fill their prescriptions and I go to fill my other scripts for some reason) to get my subs. I walked up to the counter, and being sober for so long I do look like a normal member of society (HA!) and that day I had on my yuppie gear since I was going to traffic court to get out of a bogus ticket. I greeted the pharmacist, and she kindly greeted me back. I handed her the script and she just froze. She looked up and down from me to the script over and over again for 2 minutes! I asked if everything was alright, and she just kinda stared at me. I awkwardly hung around while she did stuff on her computer, then talked to the other pharmacists. I finally went to say something, and she interrupted me and said "You can go", icily as winter in Fargo. I just looked at her and then turned and walked to the door; when I turned around she was staring at me and possibly waiting for me to steal everything in the store. Needless to say I am DONE there. I live in Philly now anyway, and the pharmacy is in Doylestown which is 45 minutes away… the only reason I would go there is because my parents house and doctors office are right next to it. I think i’ll just go get it done in the hood, that way i’ll spare myself the embarrassment I felt at CVS.
